Aerothermal energy, or an air source heat pump, is a system that provides cooling in the summer, heating in the winter, and domestic hot water (DHW) throughout the year. It works by extracting energy from the air through a system of electric heat pumps.
The external unit of an Aerothermal is a key component of the system. Its main function is to extract heat from the outside air and transfer it to the inside of your home.
The indoor unit of an Aerothermal unit is responsible for distributing the heat or cold generated by the outdoor unit inside your home. This unit usually includes a heat exchanger, which transfers the thermal energy to the heating or cooling system of the home, such as radiators, underfloor heating and fan coils. It also heats water for sanitary use.
Equipment that distributes the cold or heat: radiant floor heating (3.3),
radiators (3.2) and fan coils (3.1).
Separates the primary circuit (boiler or heat pump) from the secondary circuit (radiators, underfloor heating), balancing the flow and pressures between them to improve efficiency and protect the equipment.
